Praise
This Labor Day weekend the great question is, how do we best rest and recharge from working so hard?
I know a lot of ideas come to mind - sleeping in, a cabin by the lake, a good meal with friends, and sports activities.
But God had something else in mind. We see it when he was leading his people. He said that 6 days they should work, and 1 day they should rest. But this directive wasn't just about napping, though naps are good. It was rest from work so that they could spend their energy on worship - praising God and hearing from God.
We learn from this that true rest isn't just about getting physically recharged; it's about getting spiritually recharged. We need rest for our body and for our soul. Come this Sunday as we explore this! Our souls will have a chance to rest once again in our Savior Jesus, and we hope you can join us!
