The God Who Fights Our Battles
Pastor: Dustin Blumer Series: Isaiah Scripture: Isaiah 37:14–20, Isaiah 37:36–38
What is the greatest battle in history? Some of you might think of D-Day and the invasion of Normandy Beach. Some of you might think of the killing of known terrorist Osama Bin Laden.
The Bible is filled with famous battles. Gideon and 300 against over 100,000 Midianites. The walls of Jericho falling down.
But this Sunday we have perhaps the greatest battle, but it doesn't have to do with anyone of God's people fighting. This Sunday we see what one angel of God can do against the Assyrians who were almost 200,000 strong.
From this lesson we'll take great comfort in a God who fights our battles, and discover why he wants to fight some battles but not others.
Is there a battle you're facing where you need God's help? You're not going to want to miss the comfort and direction found this Sunday in the book of Isaiah.
